The Diamond Bar

A cherished escape for generations.

The Diamond Bar is a summer only spacious, rustic mountain cabin that sleeps up to 6, and is the perfect spot for a family vacation.  It has a master bedroom, with queen size bed upstairs and full bath. A downstairs bedroom for the kids features a double bed, bunk beds, and a half bath.  There is a fully equipped kitchen, dining room, and a large living room with a wood burning stone fireplace.  Two blocks from the center of town, the Diamond Bar sits on a large corner lot with a private drive and off street parking. It has a patio terrace in the rear, and gorgeous mountain views.  Sit on the kitchen deck, front porch or terrace and watch the deer wander through the yard on a regular basis.  At night, snuggle in the cool mountain air and sleep to the sound of a mountain stream nearby.  If this cabin is unavailable, the Meyers family owns an adjacent property called Hilltop House that is also a vacation cabin, and also sleeps up to six.  You could lodge in both cabins for a family reunion.

1800 square feet / 2 bedrooms / 1.5 bathrooms / sleeps 6

Home, heirloom.

The Diamond Bar was originally purchased by Shawn's grandmother in the 1940's. The family has come to love this place as one of the most peaceful and restorative places on earth. Now they invite you to bring your family and discover what make this such a special place.

Just hard enough to find.

Green Mountain Falls is the town that time forgot. It has a Norman Rockwell quality to it. There are plenty of things to do, but the best thing might be to do nothing at all. Fish, hike, read a book, listen to a mountain stream and the sudden crackle of an afternoon thunderstorm. Life in GMF is beautifully slow. This is as peaceful as it gets.

Simply screen-less.

The Diamond Bar is a 'screen free' mountain cabin nestled in one of America's most charming towns. It has all the important amenities, but there is no television set, entertainment center, or video game console. This is not an oversight, but a deliberate choice on the part of the owners. It is our intention that when folks come to the mountains for a vacation, they can do other, more enjoyable things as a family.

A gem of a cabin!
This place was fabulous for our family of 5. It’s very quaint with a 1950s feel. I love the rustic look of the place and all the personal touches from the owner’s family. It just feels so homey.

Back home again.
A true blessing in the mountains, just that much closer to heaven.

A charming cabin in a beautiful setting.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin is very charming and was quite comfortable for our family of four. Our only complaint is that we didn’t stay longer. 😊

Beautiful, restful, relaxing.
The cabin was perfect for our family of four. We have hiked in Green Mountain Falls for years, but loved having it be “home” for a week.
